A WORK IN PROGRESS

I am a bassist, pianist and composer.

Although I am commonly recognized for my bass work with progressive metal bands Chastain, Michael Harris, King Diamond etc... my musical endeavors are without limit.

Classical and jazz piano filled my early years but the discovery of bass guitar is what really sparked my interest.

Metal, funk, punk and pop propelled my bass playing early on, however the re-introduction of piano into my life completely altered my approach to all things music.

Ive been a session and touring bassist/pianist since 1989, as well as a teacher since 1991 beginning with a stint at Musicians Institute, Los Angeles.

Influenced by everything I hear, I became infatuated with the sonic qualities of all genres of music including not only the musicianship but the production as well as the artwork.

My influences are vast and diverse such as Kate Bush, Queen, Pink Floyd, George Winston, Stanley Clarke, Sting, Tori Amos, Yes, Vivaldi, Peter Gabriel, Steve Vai, Medeski Martin and Wood, Brad Mehldau, The Police, Michael Hedges, Michael Manring, Rush, Scott Joplin, just to name a few.

I am fascinated by every aspect of producing music and feel that being open to any and all possibilities is the true path in the creation of the unique.

Film scoring is my aspiration.
