FENDER BASS GUITARS

A harrowing real life love story

My first bass was a precision copy that my parents got me for Christmas. From that moment there has always been a Fender bass within reach.

One morning watching Soul Train, I witnessed Larry Graham playing the daylights out of a Jazz Bass. That was it.

Since my first 1974 Jazz Bass, I have always used one in some capacity.

Currently the Jazz Bass is it for me.

DR STRINGS

BEST STRINGS I'VE EVER PLAYED

Tony Pinheiro of DR sent me a few sets to use during the recording of King Diamond's "House Of God" in 1999

To this day I have not used another string.

APPLE COMPUTERS

IYKYK

Such a wonderful, creative implement.

HIPSHOT

EXCELLENT TUNERS AND BRIDGES

While I was living in L.A. in 1991, Dave Borisoff gave me two or three Xtender keys to try out when his shop was still in Van Nuys.

Any instrument of mine usually ends up with some of his hardware.

Great guy and great products.

BARTOLINI PICKUPS

TIME TESTED BRILLIANCE

I use to bring Bill and Pat coffee from New Orleans and in exchange they would give me pickup sets to try. I'm pretty sure I was in the black on that deal.

They are the best people and their pickups reflect it.

The company is now in Clyde Clark's hands and I could not be more pleased.

The B-Axis is a fantastic addition to an already stellar product line.

CARONDELET PICKUPS

HANDWOUND SONIC GOODNESS

If you are looking for a sparkling vintage bass tone, look no further than Jeff Richard and Carondelet Pickups.
